Hampstead Photographic Society Summer Exhibition 2018

Founded in 1937, Hampstead Photographic Society is holding its annual Summer Exhibition of new work from its talented membership at Burgh House, with many of them showcasing previously unseen and recently completed works. The Hampstead Photographic Society Summer Exhibition 2018 will run from 1-19 August 2018.

The Hampstead Photographic Society Summer Exhibition 2018 features more than 45 original works of art created by enterprising photographers employing a range of technology and covering the full spectrum of subject matters, from local to far-flung, including creative imagery, portraits, wildlife, landscapes, urban scenes, abstracts, travel and the natural world.

David Reed, Chairman of Hampstead Photographic Society explains: “We’re proud that our camera club members create such a wide variety of brilliant pictures and are delighted to share this creativity with all visitors to Burgh House right in the heart of Hampstead. It is most gratifying to be among a group whose passion for photography drives them constantly to interpret and reinterpret their surroundings.

About Hampstead Photographic Society:

Established in 1937, Hampstead Photographic Society is northwest London's foremost photographic club. The Society welcomes anyone with an interest in photography, from beginners to professionals. We are part of Surrey Photographic Association (which is itself part of Photographic Alliance of Great Britain).

The core of our comprehensive programme is a series of talks covering topics ranging from photojournalism, the art of photography, history of photography, urban/street photography and travel photography to specialised subjects.

Our monthly competitions, which are judged by external specialists, give members a chance to show their work, and have it assessed.

Several Society members are highly expert in digital photography, and offer one-to-one tuition in addition to delivering talks on digital techniques.

On informal Members’ evenings everyone can exchange ideas and obtain advice.

The Society organizes photographic outings in London, the UK and further afield in Europe. It also participates in competitions and exhibitions organised by Surrey Photographic Association and Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

We meet every Tuesday evening from September to June. For more information, visit http://www.hampsteadphotosoc.org.uk.
