Wednesday 11 April – Sunday 15 April,
Over the centuries the Human Form as depicted through visual art has served many purposes: it has been a means of cultural expression or identification, a way to illustrate a narrative or communicate human experiences and, of course, to celebrate or commentate on the aesthetic quality of the human body. In this exhibition five artists present us with paintings that cover many aspects of depicting the human form. They capture emotion, narrative, beauty, sexuality and ultimately make us reflect on something to which we can all relate: the process of aging.
