The Garden Historians: European Gardens - Holland & Spain

Thursdays from 12 January,1:30pm

Taught by the experienced garden historian Deborah Trentham, this course will introduce the gardens of France, Russia, Germany and Austria, beginning with the French gardens and Marie de’ Médici and continuing through the Parisian schemes of George-Eugène Hausmann and the city parks of Edouard André.

After half-term we will investigate Catherine the Great, Prince Pückler-Muskau and the Potsdam landscapes. The termincludes a garden visit.

£200 per 10 week term.
