St. Katharine Piano Duo Recital
St Katharine Piano Duo (Jelena Makarova and Katya Schneider) was formed by their local organisation Royal Foundation of St. Katharine in 2016. They will perform exciting and varied programme of music by Bach, Schubert, Brahms, Poulenc and Piazzolla.

Jelena Makarova trained as a pianist at the Lithuanian Music Academy and the Royal Academy of Music. She has established busy soloists and chamber musician's career performing in USA, Russia, UK, Lithuania and Sweden. Jelena is a winner of several competitions and prizes including Marlow International Concerto Competition and National Competition for Young Pianists in Lithuania. She has recently had her debut performance at the Carnegie Hall in New York. She has also performed recitals at the world-renowned St. George's Hall in Bristol, St. John's Smith Square, 'Pianists of the World' series at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Beethoven European Piano Society of Europe, Liszt International Piano Festival, Lithuanian Embassy in Britain and other. Jelena had masterclasses with Pierre Laurent-Aimard, Roger Vignoles, Paul Lewis, pianist-composer Gyorgy Kurtag. She is also a member of Trio Sonorité, Eos Trio, Ensemble Mintaka and Vocal/Piano Duo with Jessica Summers.
Katya Schneider - is a classical pianist winner of competitions in Paris as a soloist and duo with Diana Zandberga. Katya has collaborated with David and Inna Power, Ivan Moroko, performed with Olga Adamovich, Irina Tutt, Sofia Tselepidou, Rita Siegmann, and has appeared in concerts at Wilton's Music Hall, Roslyn Hill Chapel, Amaryllis Fleming Hall and Russian Federal Agency of 'Rossotrudnichestvo' in London. Katya is a versatile musician and in addition to traditional classical piano repertoire, she also performs as a singing pianist in evergreen, swing, American and Eastern European ballad genres.
