The Collection

66 Frognal was built in 1938 by the Connell, Ward and Lucas architecture firm. It is considered an important example of the International Style, a minimalist architectural style which originated in America in the 1920s. Conceived as a private home, it originally had an open terraced roof and a lively colour scheme on the facade. Later owners roofed over the terrace and opted for a monochrome palate, as seen here in the 1990s. Now Grade II listed, the building's refurbishment won the 2005 RIBA Conservation Award.
