Ken Pyne (1951 - )

Born in 1951, Ken Pyne is a self-taught cartoonist. He had his first cartoon published in Punch magazine at the age of sixteen and, just a few short years later, he was working as a freelance cartoonist full time. Pyne’s cartoons have appeared in every British national newspaper as well as many notable magazines, including Private Eye. In 1981, he was crowned Joke Cartoonist of the Year by the Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain. Pyne has also had five books of his work published and illustrated many more. He lives and works in Hampstead.
