Born in 1930, Princess Helena Moutafian, MBE, is the daughter of the Russian prince Alexei Gagarin. She is a patron of the NSPCC and the Commonwealth Countries League, vice-president of Help the Aged and the Women's Council, and president and founder of the Anglo-Russian Children's Appeal. Moutafian has lived in Hampstead for many years.
