George Charlton (1899 - 1979)

Female Nude Study on Tall Chair (1929)

Figure drawing by George Charlton, a Hampstead resident and artist.  The work was sketched from a low angle looking up to the model on the chair. The nude model has squared her shoulders towards the artist though the chair does not face the viewer. Her face is turner slilghtly away. The image features tiny holes in the top corners which are like from it being placed on a corkboard for display.
