Percy Smith
MUSEUM EXHIBITION: “Percy Smith”
A trained typographer, calligrapher and printmaker, he lived in Hampstead in the 1930s and ‘40s, and is represented in four different national museums, but is little known today. From sketching the WWI trenches to designing book covers, Smith’s was a singular and varied talent.

EXHIBITION: Retro Expo – Homage to Glass 2010
Glass, light and space. Retrospective of Czech artistic glass and glass in architecture.

EXHIBITION: Hampstead Tube – Past and Posters
Burgh House & Hampstead Museum presents an exhibition on the history of Hampstead Underground station, featuring objects from the Museum’s collection and a selection of posters kindly lent by London Transport Museum.


1st to 5th September
EXHIBITION by Gerry Defries
paintings by popular local artist Gerry Defries, in oil or acrylic on canvas, and mostly inspired by the sea and a love of sailing.


8th to 19th September
EXHIBITION by a group of Chinese brush painters
using traditional techniques and materials. The students have been taught by leading Chinese artists living in the UK.


19th Sept, 12pm onwards
LONDON OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND: celebrating the diverse variety of architecture in our Capital City.
